Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Will Not Detect 2.x Update

I am currently running WC version 1.6.6.

Dashboard > Updates does not detect or list version 2.x as an upgrade. It should show that an update is available.

I have tried deactivating WooCommerce and activating again. I have tried manually forcing an update with the ‘Check Again’ button in Dashboard > Updates. I have tried repeatedly going to the plugins admin page.

I don’t want to delete the 1.6.6 version and install 2.0.2 because I don’t want to lose any data. I also don’t thing copying the 2.0.2 files over the 1.6.6 files will work, due to the significant changes in 2.x.

Anyone else having this problem, or have any ideas on a solution?

    Thanks

Deactivate the plugin. FTP into your site, delete the old plugin. Upload the new 2.0+ one. Re-activate again.

You will not lose any data. All data is saved in the database. But before you do anything. Do a full backup of your site first.

Well now…. never thought of that route…
    Worked just fine.
I have some CSS issues in the update, but no biggie there.

Thank you for your very fast response splashingpixels.com!
