    Hi there,

I am new to this and would appreciate some help.

I am configuring the plugin for my Local Business, which has 4 locations.

    1) I already have landing pages for these locations, but it seems the plugin is creating a new location page when I add the “locations”? What is the point of the new location page created by the plugin? Will this affect the SEO for my landing page for that location?

    2) Lastly, why does it create “new pages” for schemas as well? I just want to update the schema for the entire site. Must I create a new schema page, or can I just go to the Settings directly, and the entire site will automatically get taken care of?

Thank you n advance, pardon my beginner knowledge.

    Hi aaa,

For both of your questions the answer is that we use custom post types to create both the locations and the schema entries. Just as with regular posts and pages, WordPress automatically creates a permalink URL/page for each new post that you add in a custom post type. That is what you are seeing as a new “page.”

Those permalinks are not normally used within our plugin (i.e. schemas are automatically applied based on your choices, and locations are added using the shortcode).

Whether or not they have an effect on your SEO is for you to decide. If ever you wanted to make it so Google did not crawl those permalink URLs, I would suggest looking into using your robots.txt file or a plugin that modifies the robots for you.
