Will it bcome possible to set locations by coordinates in the future?

I have found this thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/event-locations-gps-coordinates/ stating that it is not possible at this time to set locations by coordinates?
Will this feature come in the future?
That would be very usefull for me.
