Two days ago, I changed my blog (http://martjeschrijft.wordpress.com) into a self-hosted domain (www.martjedoeve.nl). After that, a lot of dashboard options and functions were gone, such as several widgets, sharing options and follow buttons. I’m using the Suburbia theme.

I’m considering a paid domain mapping upgrade, so WordPress will be hosting my domain. Does anyone know if the original dashboard options I had will still be there? I can’t find it anywhere on the fora and tutorials..

    Thanks a lot!

  • Did you move you site to a hosting company other than WordPress? And now you are considering going back? Just not clear on where you are…

Yes, I did. I initially moved my site to my friend’s server. And now I’m indeed considering going back, because of the many dashboard options I’m missing..

Okay, then so far as I know, you’ll get back to the standard WordPress.COM set-up. I don’t think the domain mapping upgrade would change anything in that sense. But to be totally sure, you should ask on the .COM forums – these are really only for .ORG questions.

    Will do, thanks!
