Support » Everything else WordPress » Will classic posts be editable when classic plugin support is gone

I have a large number of posts (in classic) that are gradually getting converted to blocks. With the classic plugin support possibly going away (I don’t use the plugin but have the feeling that the plugin is tightly connected to the nascent TinyMCE), will I still be able to edit in classic mode?

Will I be able to convert to blocks after classic support is gone?

And, I assume that the classic posts will render just fine once classic support goes away?

Sorry for the somewhat silly question but I am not super technical about the inner workings of WP.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

The new Block Editor also has the “Classic” block.

    So, in short, yes.

Thanks. My worry was that we’d lose the ability to edit or even convert to blocks thus necessitating a lot of effort to bring a rendered post into an editable form in the blog.

    Not to worry 🙂

As said in my previous reply, the new Block Editor also has the “Classic” block.
