Wierd behavior in the upload field?

  • Hi

I´ve seted up a form with an upload field.
Everything works as expected file is uploaded, sent attached through email, etc.

But let´s say that user change his mind and decide to not upload the file anymore, ok? How can i get the field deleted? Even if i select the file and press the delete key nothing happens, it only allows me to choose another file.

Is that the way it supposed to work?

Another minor problem is finding out how to correctly validate this field because if the file exceeds the size i only get a generic error, something like “Error….blah blah” .

Is it possible to set an especific error, something like “File size off limit allowed, etc”?

BTW> i´m also using the jQuery Validation plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-validation-for-contact-form-7/

    Thank you

PS. Just to add that on IE 8 i can delete the field content the error spotted above is ocurring on FF.Wierd isn´t it?
