# Widgetsnot working…

 * I have tried installing wordpress 2.8, 2.8.2, and 2.9-rare and all of them leave
   me with the widgets not working i have taken thesis off and reinstalled again
   about 3 times for eachplatform and the widgets will not work inany of them. I
   even try that tab in the upper right hand corner like someone else posted somewhere,
   to no avail. Could there be a file that is somehow screwing this up or whats 
   going on …?

 * Make sure that the theme you are using supports dynamic sidebars.
 * Activate the Default theme and see if you can add widgets then — if you can, 
   your chosen theme doesn’t support dynamic sidebars and you need to either [widgetize it ](http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes)
   or choose a different one.
