# widgets_init priority

 * Hi all,
 * Is there a good reason why `wp_widgets_init` has a very high priority in the `
   init` hook? I lowered the priority to 14 via my plugin and it’s working fine,
   but I’m not really sure if it will cause troubles…
 * My reason for lowering the priority is that my plugin depends on some options
   that are registered/fetched by a function hooked into `init` with priority 13.
 * I hope I made myself clear, and thanks for any help in advance.
