    Hi,

I am going nuts trying to figure this out, but since I am a WordPress noob, the task is proving to be difficult to say the least.

I am using the 2014 theme (I tried with 2015 as well, same issue) and I am not able to get the widgets to update at all, whenever I make a change like; moving a widget to a different place on the sidebar or removing one completely, the change will not reflect at all on the website.
For example, there is no Text widget on the primary sidebar at the moment yet, a phantom Twitter widget shows up anyway on the website.
I moved the Text widgets from the primary sidebar to the Content sidebar (I`ve done this through both, the Dashboard and the customizer) and like I said before, the widget still shows up on the Primary Sidebar. The Content sidebar is no where to be found on the main page, however, if I scroll to the bottom of the main page and click next, then there is no widget on the Primary sidebar (as it should) and the Content sidebar appears with the widgets correctly displayed.

I know that I am new in WordPress and I am NOT a developer, but I am usually pretty good at figuring stuff out… this does not seem to be the case, please help.

  • Have you asked your hosts if they are running a web cache? What about your ISP?
