    Hello WordPress world!

I am a WordPress n00b currently creating my website via Elementor, and I am finding that my background and sections are no longer aligning with my header.

Everything worked perfectly on the first two pages I designed (“Home” and “Contact”), however on the pages I have started working on afterward, everything is shifted to the right. I have checked my settings on the dashboard/WordPress side of things, and they seem to match the other pages that are working correctly.

    Any help would be appreciated!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Are you using a different custom header for each page and that header has it’s own image? I thought the background image was a section background,

Sorry, that was unclear on my part/I misspoke. I meant that it was a background to the “Heading” element, not the header.
The header itself is the one on every page, as put in through the general WordPress customize thing (not through Elementor).

Where did you set the images for each page?

So sorry I havn’t been able to help. IT seems strange that the images do have borders on the sides. As a last effort, you might try setting the header and the section to full width.

I set them as the background for the “Header” (About Me, Dancer, etc.) on each page. The sections below are just white background with the columns and images placed into them.

Maybe you will notice something I missed:

    Background on page that’s misaligned:

    2) https://ibb.co/ggzjeT
    3) https://ibb.co/dU24eT

Background on page that is working:
    1) https://ibb.co/fhVwto
    2) https://ibb.co/cHjZeT
    3) https://ibb.co/bOV7zT

I really do appreciate all of your help. It’s okay, thank you for all the time you’ve spent looking at this 😛

There are setting hat are not the same column position settings . Stretch Default 500 for the working, non-working middle default 400.

Compare the section 1 images to see the difference
    Try changing these

Gave it a shot, but all did did was move the text up higher -_-
    Sighhh.

Maybe LogoLogics will take a look at this tomorrow. She is very very good. Unfortunately her time zone puts it at about 6am. This has to be a simple setting, it’s just finding it.
If I see anything more, I’ll add it to the post.
    Sorry I couldn’t find it.

This is really reaching here but try putting one of the images that works on a page that doesn’t work. If that fixes the issue then we know it’s an image issue.

    Hi Jackie,

Looking at your screenshots, I see you are using Zindex option?
    https://docs.elementor.com/article/242-z-index

Why is that? That shifts an image to the right please no z index and see what happens?

    Hi LogoLogics,

I took the Z-index off of that page. The reason why it was on, is because there is a grey border/bar underneath the header that I can’t seem to get rid of (basically, I’m taking this course through Udemy, I asked my prof for help, haven’t gotten a timely response, which is why I’ve now brought all of my questions here).

Also, to be honest, I have NO idea why they have the index.php in all of the links. Nor do I know how to change it. When I go into the “edit page,” it only lets me edit after that section of the URL. So if you have any ideas on how to fix that, I would greatly appreciate that too xD

LOGO, Is the “index.php” defined in the permalinks custom area?
Jackie, look at settings, Permalinks and at the bottom there is a custom structure.
    Is that choice selected?

    INDEX.PHP

I need to know more about what you did up until now.
    1. did you install wordpress yourself on your hosting?
    2. How did you do that?
    3. How is the first page ( with enter this site ) created?

Usaually this means you did not save the permalinks correctly.

Please go to WordPress settings > Permalinks > choose the ” post name ” and save.
This might result in pages not found, so make sure to create a back up first!

    @ Less,

Oh, haha now I see you posted similar right before me!

Jackie, I have to agree with Logo about your home page being a bit confusing. Your Domain name is your brand. JackieDew.com When someone goes to that page, they see a couple pictures of an attractive women but there is nothing else to give them a hint of what the website is about. Your Home page should be interactive and informative enough to make the user want to dig deeper for more information about what your selling. There are lots of web sites with pictures of pretty women, step beyond that and educate your visitors based on what you want them to know about you.

I really don’t mean to criticize, just offering a perception.
