Widgets problem

Having this issue with widgets: on page 1 of my WP blog the widgets appear way down at the bottom of the page, but on the following pages the widgets appear correctly at the right side/top, as they should throughout. I’m running WP multi-site, but this is a new issue. All was working well til recently. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
