Widgets Not Working in WordPress 3.5

    On two Wp sites updated to Wp 3.5, I have found that the Widgets are not working in the back end. The issues are:

    1.Widget areas in Theme not opening to accept a widget

    2.Unable to move unused widgets.

    These sites were fine before upgrade to 3.5.

    Is there an additional setting to activate widgets in the upgrade or is it fooling around?
