• Hello Christine and everybody!
    Using mon-cahier(child)-theme
Just get lost the display ability for other widgets in the sidebar, don’t know how.
Had a nextGen widget working perfectly fine and removed the default ones.
Using Display-Widgets Plugin, this one went just being updated.
I can remove all widgets by altering sidebar.php brutally.
Have you a hint why mon-cahier does not accept anymore to display altered widgets?
I mean having read something about this some months before written by Christine, but cannot find it anymore.
    Site is keramikforum.info in Germany
I understand something about css, very little about php, but am able to alter this things on tutorial
    Thanks!
    Milan

Sounds too me like it’s a plugin issue.
I see that you have jetpack installed. Jetpack also has the capability of letting you display widgets on specific pages.
    Perhaps try that.
Otherwise, I would recommend, what I always recommend.
Deactivate all plugins, see if the widgets work, and then reactivate them one by one to see which one is the faulty one.

Of course make sure that you are using plugins that have been tested and updated for 3.8 and that they are all up to date.

    Hello Christine

Thank you very much for your fast reply!
So if everything works fine, there is no theme-side restriction to display different widgets in the side-bar. Is that correct?

That’s right. I haven’t tested that plugin personally, but there’s nothing in the theme that should prevent this.
