I hope that this is something that others have encountered, and resolved, but I haven’t been able to track down any reference to it so far.
I updated to the newest version of WordPress, as well as changed themes, admittedly probably not the best thing to do at once, but I was doing the theme, and saw the update.
My current site is : http://www.sethbrower.com
Currently I have two sidebars active, and theoretically working, but I am unable to add more than the base text widget to the right sidebar. I will navigate to it in the admin panel correctly, and click “Add” on the widget I want, but it then switches back to the Left sidebar with that widget added to it.
I am not the best coder, but I have been comparing to my previous theme, where everything was ok, and others, and I am not seeing any real discrepancies. Any help would be appreciated.
Right, I have tried some process of elimination to rule some things out, it looks like its not limited to my current theme, I tried backing up to what I had previously used, as well as downloading some fresh from reputable authors, but the same issue. I am now going to try disabling just about all the plugins, in the the thought that there may be a conflict.
ok for those curious, after going through one at a time, it looks like it was WP-Scriptaculous that was interacting with the admin layout, it not only caused the widgets to go to the wrong sidebar, but also seemed to disable the ability to just drag and drop to re-arrange the widgets.
