    Hi there,

First thing, thanks a ton for this awesome plugin. Been using for long time with no problem. Today however, I got into a fix when I added a new sidebar and went to open widget page. It threw me 404 error.

Upon disabling custom menu plugin I can see widget page. On activation I am having 404 on widget.php page and also no menu menus showing up even if plugin is activated.

Please let me know if this is a problem with plugin or theme that is getting in conflict. I am using newspaper 6.6.3 theme. For example look at this page where widget is expected on the right side between two ads: http://pakaccountants.com/courses/financialaccounting/accounting-in-business/

I tried disabling other plugins too but its not helping. Only after disabling custom menu widget plugin I can access widget.php page.

    Looking forward to brisk response.

    Hmm…
Is there anything in your site’s error_log that might give any indication as to a possible problem?
If you (temporarily) enable WP_DEBUG and try accessing the widgets page, do you get any errors then?
If you (temporarily) switch to a WordPress theme – such as TwentySixteen or TwentyFifteen – do you still have the problem?

Newspaper is a commercial theme, so I can’t just install it and test CMW against things like their Smart Sidebar functionality (which I assume was involved in creating your “new sidebar”).

    Hey there,

Thank you for quick reply. Really appreciate that.

I somehow managed to get the plugin working. I simply deleted the inactive widgets and sidebar and that seems to do the trick. Don’t know why but this has fixed the problem.

    Regards,
