[resolved] Widget whitespace? Only works for text... (8 posts)

When I place the widget and check the box to keep whitespace it works beautifully for the testimonial itself, but the source still goes right to the edge of the widget. See example at http://www.heartattune.dreamhosters.com/events/

Is there some way you can keep whitespace around the source too?

    Thanks!!
    Tom

.testimonialswidget_testimonial cite is text-align: right;. Remove that and you should achieve the flush left you're looking for.

Be warned, you'll probably need to add a little margin-left.

Thanks Michael. I think right align is perfect, just wanted some margin built in. I'm not adverse to modifying the code if I have to. I was just suggesting that if the user checks the box to keep whitespace that it also keep it for the citation. I appreciate your plugin!

There's no whitespace adaptions to be made for the citation. It's straight text, unless email or links are applied to it. The presentation is handled strictly by CSS.

In any case, I've updated the readme to reflect this.

    Thank you for the compliment.

Michael, please excuse the newbie question. I'm not new to web dev, but I am new to WP. Is there a way to keep my testimonials-widget.css modifications intact so that when the plugin updates I don't have to upload my backup every time? Thanks, Tom

    Tom,

Put your CSS customizations into your theme's custom.css or styles.css file instead.

    Michael
