Widget title not displaying

    I applied update 2.7.2 and now I no longer see the widget title on the widget. This affects both logged on and logged off cases. The page source shows the replaced text in HTML comments, e.g.
    <!-- Login -->
    or
    <!-- Welcome user -->

    Other widgets on my site show the widget titles as expected.
