"Widget Sidebar" options not showing (4 posts)

    Hi there,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before. I tried searching but the results were completely unhelpful and they were all labelled 'Wordpress.org'.

I have downloaded and installed the widgets plugin to my plugins directory in WordPress and I can see the default delicious and Google search widgets in my plugins page but there is no "Sidebar Widgets" option in 'Presentation'. I have activated the plugins, and gone back and they're not there.

I've also downloaded several widget compliant themes, asome more widgets, but nothing seems to work.

I have a standard WP installation with no code customisations. I've followed the instructions to the letter, smiled at the Kubrick 'joke' and watched dozens of widgets get released, but I simply can't get mine to work.

Does anyone know what may be the problem?

I'd be very grateful if someone could provide me with an answer.

    Thanks in advance.

    Try this thread:

I did what was suggested there - take the php files out of the Classic and Default folders and update your Classic and Default folders within wordpress contents / themes - and that solved the problem.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not using the classic or default themes.

I've also tried using the SVN version of K2 with widgets enabled but the menu in Presentation still does not appear.

Is there any update for this?

Can anyone help me with this problem at all?
