widget sidebar always shows 'no upcoming events'

    me again, found out it’s my themes’ problem. (one of the many it has) problem is that i will not change my theme any time soon. is there another workaround i could fix by myself?

    the widget function worked well before on that theme, i think from events calendar 4.0 upgrade it went wrong.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
