Hi all, first time poster here. I'm running into quite a weird problem with the widget sidebar plugin. It's activated and installed according to the instructions provided within the readme. However, once I select one of the updated themes that support it (or any theme that supports widgets) and click on the "Sidebar Widgets" tab in the Presentation panel, i get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare register_sidebars() (previously declared in /home/content/y/u/r/yurmudder/html/jonathanmartini/wp-content/plugins/widgets/widgets.php:22) in /home/content/y/u/r/yurmudder/html/jonathanmartini/wp-content/plugins/widgets/widgets.php on line 22

Any ideas? Really odd since the cause of the problem seems to be the file itself.

    Bump please.

Looking for any help I can get on this. Been searching under a variety of title and checking everything out and not getting anywhere.

    Thanks for any help!

I see this same problem but, odly, it only happens to one author. It doesn't have to do with their username either, because when I log in to their accoutn I see the widgets just fine.

I dealt with this one for weeks. Not sure if this will help, but I found that most people who create WP templates work from the classic WP (Kubrick) files to create it. Taking functions.php and sidebar.php (that comes with the widgets install) and updating whatever theme you are using with those two files often does the trick.

If I'm not explaining this well, feel free to contact (robyn "at" sleepyblogger.com).

I'm having this problem as well. Even after dropping the files into the correct folders (including functions.php and sidebar.php), even switching out my old sidebar.php with the one that comes with the widgets plugin, and even after switching to classic and default themes, the same result happens. Completely baffled.
