    The widget strips the @ from the beginning of your input, saving only the username. Removing the @ symbol when saved is expected behavior.

    Well, the button on post worked ok, but the widget, when using on frontend when clicked on, gave me a ‘Sorry, but this page cannot be found’ or something like that from Twitter and I know I have the correct twitter username entered.

    Could you please provide an example webpage demonstrating the unwanted behavior in a Follow Button?

    Ok, it seems to be working now. But I’ve simply copied the widget code off Twitter and use a text widget.
