    In the widget form, there is need of one checkbox with a link to read and accept the Privacy Policies.

    However, the checkbox text field don’t accept inclusion of links in this way:
    "I have read and accept the <a href="https://domain.com/privacy-policy">Privacy Policy</a>

    How can I include HTML in the checkbox text field without an added HTML field? Adding another HTML field means too much lines, and design becomes ugly.

    thanks!

  • Hi

    If you activate double optin, the plugin complies with GDPR.
    Because then the user gets a mail he needs to confirm. By accepting this mail, the user confirms his agreement with the privacy policy.
    You wil need to put a privacy statement on your site.
    Regards,

    Hi
    Here you can find the documentation from mailpoet how you should implement GDPR
    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/246-guide-to-conform-to-gdpr

    Alternatively you can install a plugin “Add-on Contact Form 7 – Mailpoet 3”
    That gives you more possebillities to add what you want.
    Regards,

    I fear there is need of one link to read the policies. The GDPR information should be present in the same place where the user should accept the policies before submit the form. In case of no inclusion of the complete text, we should put one link to open the policies for reading.

    Thanks for the plugin :). I will try to add the link with that.

    Anyway, it is really trivial for the developers to allow HTML code in the same checkbox text of the Widget. Hope they can do this to avoid installation of more plugins.

    Thanks!

    Unfortunately with that Plugin I’m unable to insert the html with the checkbox.

    Finally I have solved the issue adding some PHP replace code at the end of the widget (/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Form/Widget.php):

    $pol1 = 'Privacy Policy';
    $pol2 = '<a href="https://mydomain.com/privacy-policy/"><span style="text-decoration:underline">Privacy Policy</span></a>';
    $output = str_replace($pol1, $pol2, $output);

    // JUST BEFORE THIS
    $output = $this->wp->applyFilters('mailpoet_form_widget_post_process', $output);

    Hope it can be solved some day

    Hi @gustavts

    Please add an HTML block to your subscription form. This way, you can include a link to the Privacy Policy.

    Hi MailPoet,

    no. Your solution creates a new line under the checkbox. This is not proper for a form in the side bar.
    If this is not right, please post here how to do this.

    Please, read applying your attention my question in the first message:

    “How can I include HTML in the checkbox text field without an added HTML field? Adding another HTML field means too much lines, and design becomes ugly”

    I have disabled updates until the solution appears

    thanks
