I’m using wp 3.5 and have the Oenology theme applied. I added the weather widget to the “Sidebar Column Top” area. The widget looks great, but the footer that normally lives at the bottom of the whole blog page is loaded at the bottom of the initial screen. So when I scroll down a little, the footer is in the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom of the whole blog page.

Any idea how to fix that?

Do you have a link to this?

    Also:

    1) Please enable WP_DEBUG (in wp-config.php: define( 'WP_DEBUG', true )), and report any related errors
    2) Do you have any issues with other Themes (e.g. Twenty Twelve) active, or only with Oenology active?
    3) What other Plugins do you have active?
    4) Do you have a live link to demonstrate the issue?

I put it back up on the website so you could see what I mean. http://beckerwebsite.com/

When I remove the widget, the footer stays at the bottom of the page.

    Footer text: “Matt’s Software Development © 2011-2013 | Powered by WordPress 3.4 “

And I need to correct myself, I’m actually still running 3.4 as the footer states. I haven’t had the time to go through the process of updating. And it’s always a process 🙂

    1) This is reported on the home page when WP_DEBUG is true:
Notice: wp_enqueue_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or init hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.3.) in blahblah\functions.php on line 2825
WordPress database error: [Table ‘27178_beckerswebsite.wp_formbuilder_pages’ doesn’t exist]
    SELECT * FROM wp_formbuilder_pages

    2) I tried Twenty Eleven and didn’t see an issue, but that doesn’t have a footer to it. I don’t have a lot of time to try it with other themes.

    3) CodeColorer, WP-reCAPTCHA, FormBuilder, WordPress Facebook Like Plugin, etc…

Not 100% sure why my plugin would cause that. You can try setting your #footer to position: fixed instead of absolute, and it should sit at the bottom of the window. Maybe that will work?

Me neither. I changed the footer position as you said and that at least keeps the footer at the bottom of the screen at all times. I still wish I could keep the footer actually at the bottom of the whole page. It’ll do for now.

Thanks for the quick feed back!
