  • Greetings all,
I have a sidebar widgetized area on my site that loads and iframe from a partnering website. Im trying to have the links loading into this iframe to target the main body area of my site.

Right now, I can either have the link open in the same iframe (which shows in the widgetized area), or a completely new window. Neither of which is desired.

Could anyone recommend how to go about having links within the widgetized area iframe target the main body?

    Thanks for the advice,

  • I am not sure this is possible. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but this is not allowed by default with HTM.

Being able to control one website from another is a huge security risk thus why I think this would not work the way you want it to.

Thanks for the reply, Justin. Im patiently waiting and hoping someone corrects you. 🙂

The url embedded in the iframe is being designed specifically for this reason, so Im hoping we can find an alternative if its not possible. The widget iframe will list upcoming events based on info received from an xml feed, and I’d like to display the details of those events in the main body.

Any other suggestions as to possible options?
