# Widget issues

 * Hi everyone,
 * Since I updated my WordPress to 3.6 I have been having trouble with my widget
   area. So, I added new calendar, when I tried to drag it into the sidebar I couldn’t
   take it, it wasn’t working at all. It was similar like when you block a layer
   in Photoshop, something like that. So, I tried to take out one of the current
   online widgets and it seems to be repeating a column with dotted lines, it really
   odd.
 * It this happen to anyone? Please help me out.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from 
   a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of
   files & folder before uploading the new ones.
