WIdget Drag and Drop Freezes

    I ave custom community 1.8.2 installed and when I try and drag and drop widgets to the nav bar, the widget user interface freezes. How can this be resolved? Should I upgrade? If so, I will lose all of my customizations I believe. Thanks!
