Support » Plugin: Dynamic Widgets » Widget does not show up in Widget page (?)

  • Resolved Numbskull

I am attempting to use your Dynamic Widget as I think (?) it will solve an issue that I’m trying to figure out.
I installed the Dynamic Widget in the WP “Add New” dashboard section.
The WP “Plugins” screen says that the Dynamic Widget is activated.
However, the Dynamic Widget does NOT show up in the Appearance/Widget section of WP in order for me to even be able to attempt to use it.

I am just beginning to learn Word Press so pardon my ignorance here.
How do I get to the point where I can use this tool???
A new menu choice under the WP “Appearance” menu entitled “Dynamic Widgets” shows up now (after your widget is installed) … but there is no access to it as far as I can tell.

    Please help.

  • Ok … I figured it out … Finally.

For those who might find themselves in a similar situation:
The Dynamic Widget does not show up in the Appearance/Widget section of WP.
Rather, in order to access the functionality of the Dynamic Widget, one ought to look in the lower left hand corner of (any) other widget that has been dragged into the theme’s existing widgets and/or sidebars, etc.

You should be able to click the “Dynamic Widgets” link menu under the Appearance menu in the WP Dashboard. The other method is indeed going to the widget administration and click on the DW link there.

    Hi Qurl.
I saw that link (that you mentioned) earlier but I did not understand what I was looking at (???).
I have installed a few other plug-ins in the past couple of weeks as I was playing around with WP and they ALL went into the Widgets page of the dashboard so I expected to see the same with “Dynamic Widgets” …

    Live and learn I guess.
    Thank you.
