• I’ve a problem after the update to the latest version: the playlist of the Playlister-widget remains empty, whatever I try to enter I can’t play the file.

This happens in both Chrome and IE. I’m using the option ‘write a playlist’ with one track in the format ‘aflevering4@aflevering4.mp3’

The folder option shows that 12 files are available for playing. When I use the shortcode in a test post it works fine.

Hello, did you update anything else at the same time that you updated the player?

The tracks are all ready to go, but something in the page is stopping the player from initialising.

I don’t see any error in the console so this is a little trickier to know why it’s happening.

Can you try deactivating other plugins (and try the default theme) to see if it comes back to life?

I think I see the problem, please can you try unticking the following options on the settings page:

    – show players within posts
    – show players within excerpts.

I believe there may be an edge-case issue with use of these options. I’d appreciate you letting me know the outcome. it would prove helpful in finding/removing any error.

    thanks,
    Simon

What settings do you mean? I’m not sure which one to change. I’ve noticed that the widget does work on the ‘post’ page, and on other pages.

    Thanks

On the player’s settings page, the last tab called ‘Advanced’. Untick both of these:

Show players when the full content is used

Show players when excerpts are used

This looks likely to be the issue because the players work fine when not on the index pages.

I’ve unchecked the options without any result.

What I’ve done now: I’ve moved the widget used on the post page to the home page. They both have the same settings, but the first one (now called ‘top podcast’ shows the tracks, and the next one (called: ‘casts’) shows nothing.

When I exchange them: the first player shows the track, the second one doesn’t.

    thank you, a question:

Do you use the link replacement or url replacement method to add any players into your posts?

Now it is getting out of my knowledge.. sorry. What do you mean with this?

And can I email you directly so we can avoid a long story on this forum?
