    Hi,

    The plugin widget does not show in the posts page of the TwentyThirteen theme.

    It does show in individual posts and pages.

    I confirmed which template file it is.

    It is the standard index.php template file and it does have

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>

    in it, yet the widget does not show.

    I was using only one widget in the sidebar. The widget is the Related posts YARPP plugin.

    Once I added core widgets such as Recent posts, etc, they did show up.

    So it seems to be an issue with the YARPP plugin.

  • Ah, I realized after – could this be because the posts page has multiple posts in it and so the plugin would not know which post to show related posts for?

    Ie this is likely intentional?

    Yes, the YARPP plugin is designed to show in individual posts and pages, because that “related content” makes sense on these pages. Some themes show YARPP on the home page so it also depends on which theme you are using.

    Ok the issue was not with the plugin, nor the theme for that matter, but with me 🙂

    Thanks though for ‘splaining..
