widget area not populating

    Hi,
    I am working on a child theme for twentyten and i used unregister_sidebar function to remove the 3 footer area of the footer theme. now i want some of them back but when i remove the code for unregister from functions file, nothing happens on front page after i populate the widgets. i been going over this and i m frustrated now of wht it isn’t showing up
