Is it possible that you already have the widget in one of your sidebars? Then it wouldn’t appear in the list of widgets.
I do not have the dashboard display of feed stats.
In the left-hand menu, there should be a link labeled “Feed Statistics” at the bottom. This links to the different Feed Statistics dashboard pages.
The widget actually works fine on another site, http://www.portraitsofanimals.net, so maybe it’s a theme issue, or even a conflict with another plugin.
On http://www.thecreativecat.net, which was the original place I’d been working with it when I questioned, I did find the widget in the “Inactive Widgets” section. No idea how it got there unless I mistakenly moved it. But still, I added it to every widget area on my blog and nothing showed up there, no title, outline, numbers, nothing. The widget has no options so there isn’t anything I can manipulate to see I can make it change. The widget areas have both dark and light backgrounds. I checked it in three different browsers, cleared cache, etc. Not sure what to do, sometimes I never figure these things out.
I did find the dashboard in the left column. I was looking to add it to the dashboard with all the other stats counters.
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Bernadette
I left the widget in place on thecreativecat.net, and the next day the count was there and has been functioning fine since then. I think sometimes there is a delay in widgets appearing with this theme.
Thanks for your help! And thanks for this plugin!
Glad to hear it worked out!
