Hi @acekin,
Thanks for asking us. Currently, there isn’t such a possibility to enter a NextGen gallery that would exceed the content container’s width but it would be interesting to have this option so I will be happy to add it to our feature requests list.

Thank you, I hope it happens. It will make NGG richer.

I thought I would give a preview of what I had in mind:

It is a basic thumbnail gallery but looks with a greater presence with a little elbow sticking out on either side. I will keep it for a while because it is essentially an override of the NGG CSS and if a page cache is refreshed, they will revert to this presentation too.

OK, I am removing the temporary CSS but adding a couple of screen-captures to show what I mean. The link in the previous post will not show a wide-width NGG block.

I decided to remove the CSS because there is no way to apply selectively to some galleries in the block editor. Also, I have not spent enough time to figure out how to do this for the tiled galleries in NGG Plus.
This will really be a very valuable option to add. Did I say I like this idea?

I noticed several visits to the links I provided. The screen capture images have been deleted. So, I decided to share a wide width presentation for NextGEN Galleries, at least basic thumbnails. I don’t know how it may work with other gallery types.
I simply placed the gallery in a column block with one column and set the width of the column block to wide width. NextGEN NG!
