Why would you disable RSS feeds

    I am not a technical genius. I admire your knowledge.
    1. As far as I understood removing everything from frontend will increase the speen. But I thought that pingback is useful to get this blogger to visit your site? As well as you recommend hide and disable Atom and RSS feeds. But I thought it was for traffic increase. I even have a plugin which generates every kind of RSS.
    2. DO you think write rules with .HTML unification will help with what? I always was getting the message from google that my sitemap was generated in the wrong format – HTML>
    3. All this wording rest API or remove permlink from HTTP – what if my hosting company does not allow that?
    4. I am not a tech genius – is your plugin is trying to help my blog to see the world or it is hiding my blog by not charing RSS? I seriously don’t know your values.
    5. Considering that your intentions are to help me to show my blog to the world – that means every button should be on means blue. Right? I am just that dumb that I cannot understand any of your tech details.
    6. Currently I am having problems creating a newspaper on flip-board. I am definitely way out of their guidelines. I was wondering if by tweaking your masterpiece plugin I will be able to get to flip-board.

    I really really will hope for your answer.
    Becasue It is so hard to do it.

    Hi @irinabulygina,

    generally this plugin is not designed to increase your websites conversion rate and it does not provide any kind of SEO optimization nor increases your search engine rating.

    it is a collection of tweaks (special settings) which i’ve created for my companies commercial customers over the last few years…and its primary targeted to professional users and web agencies with a very deep knowledge.
    a lot of the settings provided by Tweakr are also available within dedicated plugins.

    WordPress is not only used as “blog” – a lot of smaller companies are using WordPress as a Content-Management-System with static content/pages. They don’t post any kind of news.
    In this case it doesn’t make sense to provide a RSS/ATOM feed which were designed to deliver and aggregate newsfeeds.

    Adding rewrites to your website to provide classic .html extensions has only aesthetic values

    Disabling the API endpoints is related to your WordPress installation – it didn’t influence your hosting environment (but it maybe breaks some 3rd party plugins…like Gutenberg Editor)

    For your use case it will hide some parts from the world and may influence your search engine rating / has a negative impact.
    You shouldn’t activate all options…only the “required” ones.

    To use Tweakr effectively it requires a very detailed knowledge about WordPress, websites and your intentions changing these settings.

    i wouldn’t recommend you to use this plugin – you didn’t need it like 95% of the WordPress community
