Why was it removed?

    This plugin has reappeared in the repo without any explanation as to why it was removed. I don’t feel confident using it on a live site until I know what the issue was so I’d be grateful if someone could clarify. The changelog only says “Add fix for wp review” which is not too helpful. I think the date (year) might also be wrong in a couple of places.

    Hi, @woopee
    The wordpress team asked us to rework some parts of the plugin. This is the usual procedure.

    I’ve tried version 1.10.13 on a test site and popups that had worked fine up until version 1.10.8 now do not display correctly (zero formatting).

    Thanks for the response.

    Unfortunately, I only tried 1.10.13 on localhost but one thing I noticed is that the database table pps_popup seems to get borked. Example, in the params field:

    Before
    YTozOntzOjQ6Im1haW4iO2E6MzA6e...

    After
    a:3:{s:4:"main";a:30:{s:7:"show_on";s:9:"page_load";s:27:"show_on_page_load_enb_delay";s:1:"1";...

    All HTML and CSS is stripped so all content is unstructured and unformatted without any paragraphs, headers, etc. and images don’t appear at all.

    I also get the following console error when in the popup editor:

    I’ve tried all the usual WP debug routes such as deactivating and reactivating plugins etc. but it made no difference.

    I have reverted to version 1.10.8 for now which works fine.

    Ich bin vorerst auf Version 1.10.8 zurückgekehrt, die gut funktioniert.
