    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

In this case, I’m not sure what page you’re seeing this error on. The object the error is referring to is the “post” object, which means the page that is showing the error must not be a proper post type, and or you’re resetting the $post global somewhere causing it not to be an object that function is running on the action “wp_head” 99 in priority.

If you have a function that is overriding the global $post object you should change the priority or the function.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

Hi, the error is mentioned in the server error logs being created by this plugin.

Hey @nims thanks for the response. I want to help resolve this issue for you. I understand that the error is being thrown by our plugin and I apologize for the inconvenience any of this is causing your site. As mentioned before the error is being thrown by our plugin do to a conflict with the global $post variable. This is not replicable on other sites we have tested this on. Could you give us some additional information about your site so we can figure out why there is a conflict on your site?

If you have access to your site’s code a var_dump() of the “$post” in variable wp-content/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/php/class-buttons.php before line 297 and let me know the output. Let me know if you need further assistance troubleshooting this problem.

I do not know how to do that but I can provide website URL
Please see if you can help. The error is not on the website front end but in server error logs.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your patience,

I’m currently doing a scan on your page, I don’t see the plugin running on it nor do I see any PHP errors. Plenty of other errors and broken scripts. In order for us to help you, you will need to reactivate the plugin, verify you’re getting the PHP error presently on the URL provided, and let us know when we can check into it.

    Best,

Since I did not get any response for so many days I had to delete your plugin.
I have installed it again. Please check.
Also, how to show share icons on custom post type posts.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply!

Can you please verify for me if you are still experiencing this issue on your end?

    In addition,

You can customize the button’s icon by following these steps:

WordPress platform > Simple Share Buttons > Styling > You can easily customize the color, size, theme, and alignment.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

I will have to check the server logs.

Meanwhile could you tell me why do not these social icons show on custom posts ?
    Please see the website mentioned.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience,

After carefully reviewing your case, I noticed that the simple share buttons are displayed correctly and the share action is working.

Here is the url where the share buttons are shown:
