why some of sections in my website get lost when activateing polylang plugin?

    I am using polylang to create a multilingual website, but when upon activating it, some of the sections of my website, like blog posts, portfolio, etc…, disappear.

    Can you pls help me explain Why that happens?
    I am using theGem theme
