289 in products list page slow down things, why so many queries there? I feel it is something related to the new version, since I did not see that before. Tks! 😉

    Hi there,

289 in products list page slow down things, why so many queries there?

Just to clarify, are you seeing 289 products when heading to WooCommerce--> Products from the site’s dashboard, or when looking at site’s shop page?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Hi again,

    Dashboard products list. tks 😉

Thanks for clarifying! You can change the number of products that load on the Products page by heading to Screen Options and lowering the Number of items per page – https://d.pr/i/L03hPg

Ok, but I am showing just 20, 289 queries for that is a lot, right? I do not think it was like that before. Less than 20 would not be good to browse. Tks!

    Hi there,

Thank you for your reply here!

I did some testing on two of my different test sites — both loading 20 products on the Products > All Products screen, and checking the query count with the Query Monitor plugin.

On one site, I see 346 queries, and on the other (with far fewer plugins active), I only see 136 queries. However, in both cases the pages still loaded in about 2 seconds.

The active plugins and theme on the site (as well as the server environment) will make a big difference in the number of queries and the speed of the page load. I would recommend doing a conflict test to narrow down what is causing the slow down on your product page. We have a guide for that here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

I hope that helps! Have a wonderful day!
