Given that you’re required to provide your WordPress version when seeking support, doesn’t it seem slightly ridiculous that to determine your version you have to FTP to /public_html/installation-folder/wp-includes/ and open the version.php file to find it?
If there is another easy way then I’m dammed if I can find.
I’m sure it didn’t always used to be that way. Didn’t the version number used to appear in page footers in WordPress admin?
What’s the logic in not making the version number glaringly obvious?
