    Hello guys, how are you?

We’re preparing to GA4 and the deletion of UA. (Universal Analytics)

As you know, UA going to shut down in 50 days.

The reason i point that is: we build our websites again from scratch, including opening a new GA4 for all of our websites, but we don’t want to open UA at all.

Usually the best thing to do, is to open it fresh, only “GA4 ANALYTICS” with the Google site kit plugin. (It’s better than open it manually)

But the Google Site Kit plugin still forces you to open UA.

    Why?

It’s gonna change soon? i don’t want to open it (i want only to open GA4 with Google site kit)

You know approximately the time you’re going to change the plugin?

Something about an update / upgrade you’re going to do about the issue?

I think this is the time to do an update and change it guys, no?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @123nadav, I hope you’re doing well. Great to hear that you’re preparing for GA4, good move.

But the Google Site Kit plugin still forces you to open UA.

    Why?

You’re correct that Site Kit will force you to connect with a Universal Analytics (UA) property along with a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. The data shown on the Site Kit dashboard is based on the connected Universal Analytics property at present, and we are working on providing all the same metrics and features for GA4.

We don’t have an exact timeframe on the switch over to Site Kit displaying dashboard data based on the connected GA4 property, only that it will be in advance of Universal Analytics shutdown. When Universal Analytics is no longer available then users can do as you’ve suggested, select a GA4 property only.

I think this is the time to do an update and change it guys, no?

You’re correct on this and it will be very soon! What you can do in the meantime is view your GA4 data from analytics.google.com, while using Site Kit to view UA data and to place your GA4 snippet. We appreciate your patience on this.

Note also that we have more information on the above on the plugin website. Do let me know however if you have any questions with the above and I’d be happy to assist.
