Why Prefix Stock “TYO” Not Work? I’m using Stock Ticker Version 3.1.0.1

    I try to use TYO=1969, TYO:1969, INDEXTYO=1969 but I got this message.

Reset fetching loop and fetch data again. We`ll make pause 12 second(s) between each symbol fetch. Please wait…

[Bad API response] TYO=1969 (test OR try to prefix stock symbol with stock exchange)
[Bad API response] TYO:1969 (test OR try to prefix stock symbol with stock exchange)
[Bad API response] INDEXTYO=1969 (test OR try to prefix stock symbol with stock exchange)
    DONE

Could you help me in resolving this matter?

    Best regards,
    Chollatee

    Hello @chollatee3,

When you target specific stock exchange, then proper format is STOCKMARKET:STOCKSYMBOL – for example LON:FFX

It is possible that AlphaVantage.co does not have anymore symbol 1969 in database.

You can click on test link in fetch console log and see what AlphaVantage return for your symbol. If there is invalid API request or empty JSON object, that is reason why Stock Ticker can not get data for target symbol.

You can test by your own if you query AlphaVantage function GLOBAL_QUOTE https://www.alphavantage.co/documentation/#latestprice

    Thank you,
    Aleksandar
