Why overwrite post share counts when I change the post title heading?

Why does shareholic have to overwrite post share counts when I change the post title heading? As a blogger we sometimes feel the need to adjust our post title to make it more appropriate and focused at some point after publishing. I recently had to do this on a post that had a lot of social shares. It’s very inconvenient that all my post shares disappeared to 0 shares for the same post. Isn’t there any other way to track post share counts? Why won’t you enable us retain current share counts even after adjusting the post title? I tried reverting to the original post title but all my shares are gone!!!
