Support » Plugin: Schema » Why only Schema:Blog on Homepage?

  • Hello,

I am using a modified Eleven40 Child Theme and Genesis Framework for my site (www[dot]thecustomdroid[dot]com). The theme provides a much broader Schema markup and marks ever post with the ‘CreativeWork’ markup.

I recently decided to mark all my posts as Schema:Article. So, I researched around and found a lot of plugins. However, it turned out that ‘Schema’ turned out to be the best.

After installing the plugin, I found that the homepage is marked up as ‘Blog’ that in turn requires ‘BlogPosting’.

If I change all the posts to be marked up as a general ‘Article’, the ‘Blog’ markup on the homepage starts throwing errors that “Article is not a known valid target type for the blogPost property” when scanned via the Google Structured Data testing tool.

So, as it turns out, I can not keep all my posts marked up as ‘Article’. If I do, then the ‘Blog’ markup on the homepage gives these errors.

What could be the possible solution here? I am highly willing to install and use this plugin, even if it was paid.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
