* Hi!
I try to search “html code” on this forum, turn out no results, I don’t
think so, so I try another keywords, no luck, I wonder why wp don’t use phpbb
or any other forum system to let everybody feel better when using this forum.
* How can I find something on this support forum ?

use WP to post an article and he want show some html code on the post, how should
we type ? As I know, if you just type the code, it will not show the code.

* phpBB search is notorious as far as I know. Try this utility:
* [http://wordpress.org/support/search.php](http://wordpress.org/support/search.php)
* The one at the middle, not the top.

* Because, that has been discussed over and over again, and it is simply becoming
annoying. The WordPress developers have chosen to use [BBPress](http://bbpress.org)
over phpBB because they also develop BBPress. BBPress is a work-in-progress.
This is the testing ground. And, it gets the job done. As far as I am concerned,
the only things that BBPress lacks are all of the bells and whistles of other
forums, like avatars and polls.
* BBPress is a bare-bones forum system. It supports registered users, categorization,
tags, topic history, resolved/un-resolved status, and a search engine (when properly
implemented). A forum needs nothing more.

* Matt wanted to release a new wordpress.org along with WordPress v2.0, and many
individuals wanted WordPress v2.0 to be released ASAP regardless of any consequences.
As a result, some things here are horribly broken. The search feature is one
of those things. For now you can either use [the old search engine](http://wordpress.org/support/search.php)
or search this site via [Google](http://www.google.com) by adding `site:wordpress.
org` before your search terms.

my
view, I am sorry to say that, I don’t feel good about it at all.
* I just simply want an answer how to Show some HTML code on WP, according to my
experience on some other forums (with same members volume like WP),
I should
already got the answer by now.
* Thanks to Macmanx to give me a lot of information, but the URL you gave me ,

there are a lot of plugins…. Is there a simple way to just type some code and
show the HTML code on my post ?

* You can also use HTML encoding, which means to type “ampersand+the letter ell
+the letter tee+semicolon” (<) to create the opening bracket for HTML tags.&
gt; will produce the closing bracket.
