[Resolved] Why no way to link text in forum instead of URL?

  • Will your forum posts allow <a> coded text to link to a web site instead of showing the site URl? Perhaps, people working on sites may not appreciate having their site specific support requests in the public domain where a client or competitor may easily discover it in a search. How are others handling this issue?
    Much obliged.

    @alchymyth

    to link text here in the forum editor:

    just type a word or text, hightlight it, click the ‘link’ button, enter your link, click OK, done.

    I must be having local issues because the editing icons were not showing when I made the post or I would never have bothered you. All I saw was a blank message window. In fact, I never actually posted the above, just went away to something else and in the process discovered that I can just enter hyperlink code into your post box and achieve the desire result. Now I have to apologize in spades for not only taking your time with a post I thought would fall through the cracks since I could not find a cancel option and never clicked “Post’, but also for having to elaborate here.
    Please excuse me.

    I’ll mark this topic as ‘resolved’ 😉
