  • Unzip the package in an empty directory.
    Upload everything. This release is designed to sit in your root folder; i.e, the folder where your WordPress-powered page will reside.
    (Optional) If you’re going to use it, the cache file needs to be writable by the web server. CHMOD 666 the file.
    Point your browser to wp-admin/install-config.php. This will create a configuration file for your installation. You’ll need to know your database name, username, password, and host name.
    Alternately, you may open wp-config-sample.php in a text editor and insert your database name, username, password, and host name as indicated in the comments. (Comments are lines that start with /* or //.) Save this file as wp-config.php, and upload it.
    i finished these 4 steps ,but when i point my browerer to wp-admin/install-config.php
    it tells “Sorry, I need a wp-config-sample.php file to work from. Please re-upload this file from your WordPress installation.”
    i have uploaded this file before
    i point the browerer to ” /wp-admin/install.php “,
    it tells “There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. You must create one (attempt automatically) before moving on.”
    but in really,wp-config.php have been edited and uploaded
    why this happens?
