Hi, I think is a problem of license checking. Have you setup a free license in main settings?
If so, maybe from localhost it is not able to check it and it went into a timeout. Not being able to check it, it cannot store the value to avoid subsequent calls.
I’ll look at it today.
I did set a free licnese in main settings.
Are you suggestiong I remove the lincese code for the time being?
Anyway, yesterday there was a short period of time it worked faster, but it went back to slow again.
Also, unrelated, I’ve used Loco Translate to translate the plugin to my language, but not all strings are working, either that or there are missing strings in the template.
Hi, yes try to remove the license. All translations can be made from the admin panels.
Tried to remove the license key, still loads very slow, slightly faster though. the rest of the site & admin loads in max 1 second, Newsletter plugin pages in admin takes at least 30 seconds, soometime up to 2 minutes.
Do you think it’s because of the fact I’m on localhost? I don’t currently have an actual host to test it on, I’m waiting till the site is ready to figure out a web hosting solution.
As for the translations, I have Loco Translate installed, went to plugins page and clicked translate, translated to 100% and still, some things remain in English (mainly some admin menu items like “list building, security, newsletters, etc.)
Hi, could be some admin labels are not correctly managed, I’ll check it. About the slowness, I’m checking, it really sounds like a timeout.
Thanks, let me know what you find out, I’m working on another part of my site for now until I hear back.
Try to set the plugin with log level debug (on main setting) and look at the logs generated in wp-content/logs
If there is a connection issue event the status panel should be very slow.
Hi, I’ve made an optimization, will be release with next version (usually within a week).
Maybe that solves the problem.
Stefano.
Hopefully it’ll help, for now, I’ve done what you asked, after a while of working with log level debug, this is the contents of the log files:

Hi, no there are no info in that log that explain why you’re experiencing that slowness.
Something has changed with our latest releases?
Stefano.
I don’t know, I haven’t updated, I’ve put the entire project on hold for now, don’t have the time or resources to complete & maintain it right now, I might try again in a month or two, maybe near the end of the year.
