I have the plugin updates disabled, it still tries to update regardless.

You really need to look at this issue, it’s existed for months.
Yes, this plugin auto-updates even when you have that feature disabled. I needed to disable it with the Easy Updates Manager plugin to effectively stop it from updating.
Hi,
We have checked & found that plugin is working fine.
Its not update automatically when updates option selected as disabled.

Then how come if I install and older version like 1.40 or 1.41, immediately after activating the plugin it updates itself to 1.43 even though the plugin updates setting is disabled by default.
Even previously installed versions got auto-updated to 1.43 back when it was released even thought it was set not to.
So, something is broken and your plugin updates are still happening.
I think it tries to run an update when activating. Which is why I am noticing activating this plugin on our large multi site network takes a really long time.
To the plugin author – I’d turn this “feature” off. Let updates happen normally and not try to force an update on the admin.
