    I’ve ordered the AAM Plus Package Extended, i received an email with all the information i need to activate the plugin.

    After I’ve tried to activate the plugin directly with the License number, it didn’t work.

    Then i downloaded the plugin from the AAM website, and I’ve extracted the plugin exactly in the directory where it should be, still didn’t work.

    Now, i have to wait up to 3 days for the support to have the module working …

    I can understand that the plugin creator wants to protect his plugin but making it difficult to install for those who didn’t bought the plugin, but it should not be this hard for those who bought it !

    @usethe23,

    Sorry to hear about your experience in such a radical way and my apology if installation instructions are too complicated for you. The process is very streamlined: you get license via email and activate it on your website. This is the industry standard way to deal with licensed software.

    There are exceptional cases when the server can’t fetch or install extension because of various reasons like hosting security policy, outdated PHP version or server limitations. That is why you have the ability install any extension manually by following few simple steps from this article. If it did not work for you, it 99% times mean that you DID NOT follow the installation instructions.

    There are NO intentional steps to complicate installation process.

    I’ve followed the exact same steps multiple times.

    I did follow those instructions and did install, removed, install again the plugins multiple times but it still doesn’t work.

    I’ve installed the plugin AAM in wordpress, then i activated the module.

    After i’ve downloaded the AAM Plus Package Extended plugin, i’ve unzipped it and place it exactly in the folder mentioned in the article.

    Then i went back to the plugin page to > plugins and i didn’t see anything working.

    I’ve tried to deactivate the plugin then activate it again not working.

    I also tried to remove everything then install it again still not working.

    Hi @usethe23,

    Thank you for the update. Here is few reasons why it might not work for you.

    You did not unzip it correctly. Make sure that it is unzipped in wp-content/aam/extension folder (NOT IN wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager folder). Also make sure that all files are unzipped in plus-package folder. AAM dynamically gets all folders inside wp-content/aam-extension folder and loads each extension if bootstrap.php file is found;
    – WP_CONTENT_DIR core constant does not point to actually wp-content folder. This happens when somebody heavily over-complicates WordPress install;
    – The AAM extension directory path is overridden with ConfigPress settings extention.directory.

    Please let me know which one applies to you. Also you can contact me directly via email and I can help you with setting it up.

    Thank you,
    Vasyl

    P.S. Just as a human being… I’m trying hard to recover this plugin from all the bullshit reviews that are not even related to current AAM version. You might notice that majority of reviews are divided onto two categories: dummies that do not read red warning about being careful and cheap folks that expect to get everything for free. I totally get your frustration. I would feel the same way however please understand that this has nothing to do with AAM itself but rather your hosting provider. I cannot tell you want to do just ask yourself if your action makes somebody feel better.
    FYI, to recover from your 1-star review, AAM would need to have 10 5-starts and on my end it would require at least 30-40 hours of free support. Appreciate your understanding and happy holidays.

    I did unzip it correctly, in the right folder.

    I’ve already sent a mail, and I’m waiting for a respond.

    The wordpress install is pretty clean, and i don’t use ConfigPress.
