Why is simple so hard?

    Hi! I’m very new to WordPress.

    I’m looking to make a site that’s non-blog and more of an online resume. What’s the easiest way to do this? I’ve looked for themes, but none of them match what I’m looking for.

    I just want the entire site have a homepage with a large photo and a few links.

    If there’s no themes that do what you want them to, the other option is to create your own theme. Before you say anything I’m alos very aware that a lot of people aren’t comfortable or ble to do this, but when you have something that’s so specific that you won’t have that much choice about it.

    The biggest thing to remember is that WordPress is simple because a lot of people have put a whole lot of work into making it easy to do the basics. It’s when you move away from the basics that you need to start upgrading your skill level.
