You picked a hell of a keyword to look by, man 🙂
You’re 4th for “Lakewood IT Support” http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=kaewood+IT+support
But I don’t think you’ll break into top 12 pages for just ‘IT Support’ in a year with 43 backlinks. Sorry, that’s just unrealistic. Too huge, broad, popular a topic.

Thanks for the reply, that is a little reassuring at least I know I cant do something about it then.
I’m currently building links and advertising all over the place including Google adwords.
I think I actually get first place in the UK search, we are predominately a UK business.
What can I do to increase my page rank? shall I keep link building or is there other more important factors?
Page Rank is somewhat a popularity contest. The best thing to do is make a good site, and get people’s attention. Advertise in the right places, with the right people (right is very subjective, I know, but there isn’t a ONE answer fits all). Network with people in your area, other UK IT support sites.
You can’t just make a website, crank the SEO, and assume people will come. As with any business, you have to get out there, get your brand known, and do it in a way that doesn’t annoy your target audience and look like spamming.

I had a look at WordPress SEO information and checked my sites code using W3 validator and it found quite a few errors http://validator.w3.org/unicorn/check?ucn_uri=lakewooditsupport.co.uk%2F&ucn_task=conformance#
Should be something to worry about??
Somewhat. Not really in regard to SEO, but tables should be avoided EXCEPT for data that needs to be tabulated in … tables.
Page rank itself is also one teeny tiny factor in maybe 200+ other ones that google uses. So, don’t sweat it too much.
